Apple Intelligence Cleared for China

Apple has received regulatory approval from China’s Cyberspace Administration to deploy its AI services on iPhones. To comply with local generative AI laws, the system will integrate Alibaba’s Qwen model alongside technology from Baidu.

While the registration marks a major hurdle cleared, Apple has not yet announced a specific launch date for the Chinese market. The approval covers iPhones, with potential expansion to other Apple devices still pending.
