The Salamanca City Central School District signed a $57,590 contract with Realbotix to introduce a humanoid robot named Sally into high school classrooms. The stationary robot uses facial expressions and real-time interaction to assist students, while an integrated AI model provides round-the-clock homework support.

The rollout faces pushback from the local teachers union, which raised concerns over the implementation and the company’s background. The district maintains the program complements existing STEM curriculum.
