OpenAI Launches ChatGPT for Teens

OpenAI has begun the global rollout of ChatGPT for Teens, a dedicated experience for users aged 13 to 17. The system automatically places users into this mode if they identify as minors or if age-prediction technology estimates they are under 18. The rollout began on August 18, 2026, and is expected to conclude within two weeks.
