OpenAI Launches ChatGPT Version for Teens

OpenAI has introduced a version of ChatGPT specifically for users aged 13 to 17. The model includes parental controls, break reminders, and a Study Mode that provides step-by-step homework guidance while detecting potential cheating. It also blocks romantic or sexual roleplay and prevents the AI from implying it has consciousness or feelings.

The teen-specific experience is automatically applied to users within the age range. OpenAI announced the rollout on Tuesday.
