OpenAI Launches ChatGPT Plugin for Apple Messages

OpenAI has released a new plugin for the ChatGPT desktop app on macOS that allows the AI to read, search, and send iMessages, SMS, and RCS texts. The feature requires users to manually grant permissions, including Full Disk Access and control over automation tools, within Mac System Settings.
The integration runs locally on the device and is available across all ChatGPT plans for Macs running Apple silicon.
