Nvidia to Acquire Hugging Face for $12.93 Billion

Nvidia has officially announced an agreement to acquire the open-source AI platform Hugging Face for $12.93 billion. The deal aims to scale the platform’s infrastructure and expand access to AI tools for developers and institutions globally.

Hugging Face will continue to operate as an open platform, allowing developers to utilize various frameworks, clouds, and computing hardware. The transaction is expected to be finalized in the first half of 2027.
