OpenAI began the gradual rollout of its GPT-6 Astra model on September 3, 2026. The model is available to Pro, Business, and Enterprise subscribers, while ChatGPT Plus users access it through the Work and Codex interfaces. Availability depends on individual account permissions and workspace settings, with users encouraged to check for manual updates in the desktop application.

API access for developers is priced at $10 per million input tokens and $50 per million output tokens.
