Nvidia and Google Launch AI Energy Management Alliance

Nvidia, Google, and startup Emerald AI have formed the AI Energy Management Alliance to promote flexible data center power usage. The coalition aims to standardize technologies like on-site generation and battery storage to allow data centers to dynamically adjust electricity demand during grid stress. The group includes 18 launch partners, such as Anthropic, National Grid, and Constellation.

The alliance was officially announced on September 16, 2026.
