XPeng Begins Humanoid Robot Production

XPeng has commissioned an automated production line for its IRON humanoid robot. The company reports that over 80% of the core assembly processes are automated, utilizing manufacturing systems adapted from its electric vehicle business. The robot features 76 degrees of freedom and is powered by three onboard Turing AI chips.

Mass production is targeted for the end of 2026, with initial deployments planned for XPeng stores and campuses before a 2027 rollout.
