LinkedIn Introduces Peer Verification Tools

LinkedIn has launched new verification features allowing users to confirm their workplace or university credentials through endorsements from colleagues and classmates. To participate, members must have two-factor authentication enabled and maintain a connection with the vouching individual for at least one year. These updates aim to mitigate AI-generated impersonation and job scams on the platform.

Company page administrators can now remove individuals who falsely claim employment at their organization. As of September 2026, over 115 million members have added verifications to their profiles.
