Qualcomm Announces Snapdragon Sound Elite Gen 2 Chip

Qualcomm unveiled the Snapdragon Sound Elite Gen 2 chip at its Snapdragon Summit in Hawaii. The new hardware is designed for audio wearables, including earbuds, headphones, and audio glasses. The chip features a 30% smaller footprint than its predecessor, double the AI capability, and 40% lower power consumption.

The platform supports direct-to-cloud connectivity via Wi-Fi 6E, Qualcomm aptX Lossless audio, and Qualcomm XPAN for extended range. The chip is currently in production.
