Meta Announces FDA-Cleared Hearing Enhancement for Smart Glasses

Meta introduced a new Hearing Enhancement feature for its AI glasses at Meta Connect 2026. The software is FDA-cleared to assist adults with perceived mild-to-moderate hearing loss by amplifying sound and suppressing background noise using machine learning.

The feature will launch in the U.S. later this year. Users can access it through a one-time payment of $149.99 or via a Meta One subscription.
