Google invests $75 million in A24 for AI research

Google DeepMind is partnering with independent studio A24 to develop new filmmaking tools. The multiyear collaboration focuses on creating production workflows, starting with AI-assisted storyboarding.

The deal does not grant Google access to A24’s film library or data for model training. Instead, the studio’s 20-person Labs team will work directly with DeepMind to build technology intended to support creative vision rather than replace human input.
