A new lawsuit filed in California accuses the three chipmakers of colluding to restrict DRAM supply and inflate prices since 2022. The plaintiffs allege the companies cut production of conventional memory to prioritize high-bandwidth memory for AI and data centers.

These three firms control over 90% of the global DRAM supply. Micron stated it will defend itself against the claims, while Samsung and SK Hynix are reviewing the complaint.
