The Alphabet-owned company will remove human supervisors from its vehicles in Denver, San Diego, Las Vegas, and Tampa. Initial operations in these locations are restricted to employees for testing purposes before opening to the general public later this year.

This expansion includes the deployment of Waymo’s new Ojai robotaxi, a vehicle built on the Geely electric platform, to support its growing driverless fleet.
