Google is pivoting its entire product ecosystem around Gemini. The upcoming Android 17 update transforms the OS into a shell for Gemini Intelligence, an AI assistant designed to run tasks autonomously. Additionally, the company introduced Googlebooks, a new line of computers with Gemini integrated at the core. A new magic pointer feature provides contextual AI suggestions across the interface, though it remains unclear if users actually want this level of AI ubiquity.
