Google Vids adds AI avatars and Gemini Omni

Google Vids now allows users to create custom digital avatars by uploading a selfie and voice recording. The platform also integrated the Gemini Omni model, enabling users to generate videos from text prompts and reference photos. The tool supports step-by-step editing for lighting and backgrounds.

AI-generated content will include an invisible SynthID watermark. Personal avatars are currently restricted for users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland.
