US Launches $5 Billion Genesis Mission for AI Science

The White House has committed over $5 billion to the Genesis Mission, a government-wide initiative to accelerate scientific discovery using AI. Led by the Department of Energy, the program now involves more than 15 federal agencies, including NASA and the NIH.

Researchers will access shared infrastructure, specialized datasets, and AI tools to tackle 33 national challenges, ranging from chronic disease research to energy infrastructure and national defense.
