Electronic Arts to Become Private Company
Electronic Arts has secured all necessary regulatory approvals to finalize its $55 billion acquisition by a consortium including the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund, Silver Lake, and Affinity Partners. The company expects the merger to close on or about August 4, 2026.
This transaction concludes Electronic Arts’ 35-year tenure as a publicly traded entity. The company will maintain its headquarters in Redwood City, California, under the leadership of CEO Andrew Wilson.
