Apple May Charge for Siri AI Usage

Outgoing Apple CEO Tim Cook suggested that heavy users of the upcoming Siri AI may face additional costs. During a quarterly earnings call, Cook indicated that the company is considering upgrade possibilities within the iCloud Plus subscription stack to recover compute costs associated with the new AI features.

These plans remain in the early stages. Siri AI is scheduled for release on iOS 27, iPadOS 27, MacOS 27, and VisionOS 27.
