Meta Smart Glasses Banned in UK Courts
His Majesty’s Courts and Tribunals Service has prohibited Meta smart glasses from all criminal, civil, and family court buildings across England and Wales. Security personnel will confiscate the devices from individuals upon entry and return them when they depart the premises.
The policy follows concerns regarding the potential for covert recording within judicial settings. While smartphones remain permitted under existing rules, smart glasses are now subject to mandatory confiscation.
