Meta Updates Smart Glasses to Prevent Covert Recording

Meta is rolling out a software update for its smart glasses that disables the camera if the device’s capture LED is covered during a recording. Previously, the glasses only performed a check when recording was initiated, allowing users to bypass the privacy light by covering it after the video had already started.

This update follows previous measures that disable the camera if the LED is physically tampered with or destroyed.
