Apple Unveils iPhone Duo Foldable

Apple executives, led by CEO John Ternus, officially introduced the iPhone Duo, the company’s first foldable smartphone, during the “Surprise and Shine” event held on September 9, 2026. The launch event also featured the debut of the iPhone 18 Pro lineup, the Apple Watch Series 13, the Apple Watch Ultra 4, and updated AirPods models.

The iPhone Duo features a foldable design and is powered by the new C2 modem. The device operates on iOS 27, which integrates Siri AI, a Gemini-powered voice assistant. While Siri AI is scheduled for release on September 14 for compatible devices, its availability is restricted in China and delayed indefinitely within the European Union. Apple also announced that prices for older iPhone models have increased by $100 due to ongoing memory and storage supply constraints.

The iPhone Duo is available in star white and night sky color options. Preorders for the device are scheduled to begin on October 16, with retail availability starting on October 23. The base model of the iPhone Duo, equipped with 256GB of storage, is priced at $1,999, while the 2TB model is priced at $3,199.
