Meta Introduces Holographic Avatars

Meta is launching photorealistic holographic avatars for video calls, powered by its Muse Realtime Avatar model. The feature will arrive on Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses via an early access program in the United States this fall. Users can set up their avatars in approximately five minutes using the Meta AI app on a smartphone.

A full-body version of the technology will launch with the Meta VR Glasses in spring 2027.
