Amazon AI Smart Glasses Rollout

Amazon plans to equip 5,000 delivery drivers with AI-powered smart glasses by the end of 2026, with the fleet expanding to over 20,000 by the end of 2027. The devices capture static images of a driver’s surroundings to provide hands-free navigation and delivery guidance.

Captured data is processed by Amazon’s Wellspring generative AI platform to map delivery locations. The company states that images containing faces or license plates are blurred before human review.
