Emmy Awards Move to Prime Video

The Television Academy has signed a six-year agreement to move the Emmy Awards to Prime Video starting in 2027. This deal ends a seven-decade tradition of the ceremony airing on broadcast networks, which previously rotated the event annually between ABC, CBS, Fox, and NBC.

The ceremony will be available to stream for free globally without a Prime Video subscription. The 79th Primetime Emmy Awards will be the first to air under this new partnership in September 2027.
