DuckDuckGo Browser Now Blocks YouTube Ads

The DuckDuckGo browser has introduced a feature that blocks most video ads on YouTube. It is currently enabled by default for iPhone, Windows, and Mac users, with an Android rollout coming soon.

Powered by uBlock Origin filter lists, the feature works exclusively on the YouTube website rather than the mobile app. Users may experience slight buffering before videos start, but standard site features like watch history remain functional.
