Apple readies hardware subscription service

Apple is reportedly launching a new device subscription program as early as July 28. Partnering with Klarna to manage financial risk, the service will cover most iPhone, Mac, iPad, and Apple Watch models. Leases will span 24 months for mobile devices and 36 months for computers.

Users can upgrade to newer models or return devices after the lease. The program requires a soft credit check and may replace existing financing options.
