US Imposes New Drone Tariffs

President Donald Trump signed a proclamation imposing tariffs of up to 100 percent on imported drones and components. A 100 percent rate applies to drones weighing over 25 kilograms or those equipped with thermal imaging and docking stations. Smaller drones face a 25 percent tariff, while imports from specific allies are taxed at 10 to 15 percent.

The new tariffs take effect in 21 days.
