Amazon Leo Partners with Uztelecom for Satellite Internet

Amazon has signed an agreement with Uzbekistan’s national telecommunications operator, Uztelecom, to provide satellite internet services. The partnership designates Uztelecom subsidiary UZ-SAT as an authorized distributor of the Amazon Leo network, which aims to deliver connectivity to remote and mountainous regions where traditional terrestrial infrastructure is difficult to deploy.

The agreement was finalized on September 22, 2026, during the ICT Week Uzbekistan event in Tashkent.
