Google Launches Gemini 3.8 Live Avatar

Google has released Gemini 3.8 Live with Live Avatar, a feature providing near real-time visual presence for conversational AI. The system supports 97 languages and enables fluid turn-taking, precise lip-syncing, and background tool execution during active dialogue. It is designed for enterprise use cases such as customer service and interactive kiosks.

The service is available through Gemini Enterprise, with all AI-generated content watermarked using SynthID. The feature launched on September 24, 2026.
