Google Play Store Opens to Alternative Billing
Starting June 30, developers in the US, UK, and Europe can offer alternative payment systems or link users to external websites for purchases. Google is replacing its flat 30% commission with a decoupled fee structure, starting at a 10% service fee for the first $1 million in annual earnings.
Developers using Google’s own billing system will face an additional 5% fee. These changes follow Google’s settlement with Epic Games.
