Reddit deploys AI to fight AI spam

Reddit is using automated systems to combat AI-generated content, blocking 23 million spam views daily. The platform now uses LLMs to detect coordinated fake behavior and artificial hype the moment accounts are created.

These tools have reduced spam exposure by 20 percent since early 2026. Additionally, enforcement time for hate and violence has dropped to under five seconds, cutting user exposure to harmful content by more than 40 percent.
