Google Play to Host Third-Party App Stores

Starting July 22, Android users in the US can download third-party app stores directly from the Google Play Store. This change follows a court mandate stemming from the Epic Games antitrust lawsuit.

Google has lowered its app purchase commissions from 30% to 10%. Developers can now offer alternative payment methods or direct users to their own websites for purchases, while Google’s service fees will still apply to these downloads.
