Humanoid Robots Break 100-Meter Sprint Record

A humanoid robot developed by Beijing-based X-Humanoid completed the 100-meter dash in 9.39 seconds at the second annual World Humanoid Robot Games in Beijing. This performance surpasses the 9.58-second world record set by Usain Bolt in 2009.

The event features over 2,000 robots from 16 countries competing in 51 events. During the competition, the same firm’s robot also cleared 2.88 meters in the high jump, exceeding the 2.45-meter human record.
