Taiwan Indicts Nine Over Illegal AI Server Exports

Taiwanese prosecutors have indicted nine individuals, including employees from Nvidia and Super Micro, for illegally exporting high-end AI servers to China. The defendants allegedly bypassed export controls by routing 74 servers through Indonesia, Japan, and Hong Kong. Authorities also seized an additional 56 servers at the border.

The charges include breach of trust and document forgery. Prosecutors stated the defendants knowingly violated internal compliance procedures to facilitate the shipments. The case involves 74 successfully exported servers.
