Meta Abandons AI-Focused Restructuring Plan
Meta has reportedly abandoned a restructuring plan that aimed to transition the company into an AI-native organization. The initiative, known as Project OT, involved potential workforce reductions of up to 60 percent for certain teams and the integration of AI agents to handle daily tasks previously performed by employees.
CEO Mark Zuckerberg halted the second phase of the plan, which was originally scheduled for November. The company acknowledged that aggressive cut scenarios were under consideration.
