Meta has updated its Meta AI software to stop suggesting invasive prompts that collected personal information from user posts. The change follows a viral Instagram video posted on September 2, where a user demonstrated how the AI tool assembled private details about her minor children and location by scraping past social media activity.
The company stated it fixed the issue and denied claims that the AI accessed permanently deleted photos. The viral video received over 308,000 likes.
