MediaTek Unveils 2nm Dimensity 9600 Pro

MediaTek announced its new flagship Dimensity 9600 Pro smartphone processor on September 15, 2026. The chip is manufactured using TSMC’s 2-nanometer N2P process and features over 33 billion transistors. It utilizes a fused computing architecture with a dual-NPU design to support on-device generative AI workloads.

The processor delivers a 61 percent reduction in multi-core power consumption compared to the previous generation. It also supports LPDDR6 memory and UFS 5.0 storage.
