New Forensic Tools Target iPhone Security

Magnet Forensics has reportedly developed tools to bypass Apple’s inactivity reboot feature, which automatically restarts iPhones left locked for 72 hours. The company’s GrayKey Preserve and Evidence Preservation Mode aim to maintain devices in an After First Unlock state, preventing them from reverting to a more secure, encrypted condition.

These tools also claim to block automatic data deletion for cached locations, iMessages, and photos.
