Spotify is launching an AI Persona label to identify AI-generated artist profiles on its platform. Starting in mid-September, these badges will appear on profiles, songs, and search results. The company will identify accounts using photorealistic AI identities, while artists can also self-report their status via Spotify for Artists starting August 11.

AI Persona tracks will be excluded from personalized recommendations by default unless a user follows the specific account. Listeners will be able to flag suspected AI profiles in the coming months.
