Honor has officially released its Robot Phone in China, introducing a smartphone equipped with an integrated, motorized robotic gimbal camera system. The device, which was previously previewed at MWC 2026, is designed to facilitate mobile photography and videography through physical mechanical movements. Users can control the camera’s orientation via voice commands, gestures, and AI-powered subject tracking, allowing the lens to maintain focus on moving subjects during video calls, livestreams, and vlogging.

The hardware features a 4DoF robotic arm and a titanium alloy gimbal, which Honor describes as the industry’s smallest all-titanium gimbal architecture. The system utilizes a 2.6g motor and is 65% smaller than traditional gimbal designs. The camera array includes a 200MP main sensor with an f/1.6 aperture, a 200MP periscope telephoto lens, and a 50MP ultra-wide camera. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, runs MagicOS based on Android 16, and includes a 7,060mAh battery with 120W wired and 50W wireless charging support.

The development of the Robot Phone follows the company’s Honor Alpha Plan, which aims to establish the firm as a leader in the AI device ecosystem. The gimbal system is constructed from over 100 precision components and is supported by more than 100 patents. The smartphone weighs 248 grams.
