Apple Introduces M5 Ultra Chip
Apple has unveiled the M5 Ultra processor, featuring a quad-die architecture that combines four M5 Max chips. The new silicon includes an 80-core GPU with integrated neural accelerators in each core, designed to support large language models and 8K video workflows. The chip supports up to 512GB of unified memory with 1.2TB/s of bandwidth.
The M5 Ultra powers the latest Mac Studio, with base models starting at $5,499.
