OpenAI Employee Arrested for Planting Recording Device

OpenAI discovered a sophisticated recording device hidden behind a television in an executive conference room at its San Francisco headquarters on September 30. The company utilized its own AI models to identify that a specific employee had installed the device on September 28.

The FBI arrested 35-year-old Abdulrahman Alfozan on October 9 in connection with the incident. The employee was terminated on October 13.
