YouTube Music Adds AI Content Labels

YouTube Music has begun rolling out labels to identify tracks created primarily with generative AI. The labels appear on the player page for songs where AI models were used to generate significant components, such as composition or vocals. Users can tap the label to access details regarding how the technology was utilized in the production process.

The platform identifies these tracks using internal detection tools and partnerships with music industry entities. These labels will eventually expand to the main YouTube app.
