BMW’s X5 Goes Fully Electric

BMW has unveiled the 2027 iX5 60 xDrive, the first fully electric version of its popular SUV. Built on the new Neue Klasse platform, it features a massive 141kWh battery delivering an estimated 435 miles of EPA range.

The vehicle utilizes an 800-volt architecture supporting up to 460kW DC fast charging. Dual motors provide 578 horsepower, allowing the SUV to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in approximately 4.4 seconds.
