Fired Tesla Manager Alleges Safety Failures
Former Tesla manager Javier Medrano filed a lawsuit claiming the company’s Full Self-Driving testing operations in Houston were dangerously understaffed. The complaint alleges that Tesla increased the operator-to-manager ratio to 38:1, exceeding the company’s 15:1 safety baseline. Medrano claims this structure led to extreme exhaustion and a March 30, 2025, vehicle crash.
Medrano was responsible for 38 vehicles across three 24-hour shifts.
